1. When I was a kid I daydreamed about....

becoming a backup dancer for Madonna. I couldn’t stop thinking about spandex and cone bras.

2. As an adult I daydream about...

same thing I daydreamed about as a kid.

3. In my group of friends I'm the one who...

laughs and makes everyone else laugh.

4. When I was growing up I was told that I couldn't________ but did it anyway.

I can’t answer that...my parents were really supportive and we barely had any rules growing up. I was told I could do ANYTHING!!

5. How did you break into your industry?

Totally by accident. I started off getting coffee for the President of the sportswear company Umbro. Then onto the Umbro x Kim Jones collection, then to Supreme as production manager, then started my own brand MadeMe. I just keep working my ass off everyday and the rest is history!

6. Favorite part of what you do? I have 2 things: Having a way to express how I see the world and hopefully opening up some eyes to something new.

7. Least favorite part of what you do?

Having a clothing brand comes with A LOT of paperwork. I hate paperwork, filling papers, etc. I spend more time doing clerical stuff than I do designing. I think that’s always the case when you personally fund your own company. But you have to keep your paper right, or nothing else is possible.

8. Who do you admire in your field? James Jebbia, owner/founder/creative director of Supreme. He works harder and has better personal taste than anyone I know.

That’s a tough one. I think they are proud of me for just being a good kid.
