McQueen

hey everybody its Mizz Luna new to LICJ
here to add a little culture and fashion to your slow-paced lives ::just kidding=)::
anyways..okay first post

so lately I've had a serious obsession with Alexander McQueen. His shows are absolutely breathtaking. He is able to take historical ideas, such as the English monarchy and England's colonziation of India and incorporate them into to his incredible collections. His ability to mold fabrics into unique silhouettes is something I really appreciate knowing how difficult it is to make fabrics cooperate and do it in such a precise way at that. His latest collection truly was a testament to his aesthetic genius. His fall 2008 RTR was strongly influenced by his recent trip to India. Although it began with black fabrics ranging from leather to tulle and perfectly tailored suits, it soon led to deep toned velvets and muted crinoline. Honestly, this collection could not have displayed his talents any better. While showing his exquisite execution in tailoring, it also demonstrated his extraordinary talents in design and creativity.
